Respironics machines don't actually give a duration of event in seconds. Only ResMed does that.
So what Respironics machines do is some sort of marker system that no one actually knows for sure what it means or how it works.
It's usually close to duration in seconds but not always spot on.
I think in the situation with the 155....it's just way off. You can easily see when the flow is reduced and when it goes back to normal and it appears to be roughly from 23:53:15 to about 23:53:40...so 25 seconds duration give or take a second.

Most of the time the markers get us close to duration in seconds but in this situation it's just way off.

Chicagogranny, those are obstructive apneas. Yes scary as hell! I also need to find out why my sleep apnea is so severe. What is causing it. I also wonder what kind of brain damage I might have suffered as a result. I have been having neurological symptoms similar to those of MS but nobody has been able to figure out what is wrong with me. Brain and spine MRI are within normal limits. I strongly suspect it is somehow related to the sleep apnea.
Seems to be an issue noticed in a number of people (including myself). Unexplained neurological symptoms were one of the main reasons I was trying to figure out what was wrong and eventually ended up with sleep apnea diagnosis. The good news is that studies have shown that treating sleep apnea can reverse the damage done.

Have you made any adjustments to your pressures as was previously recommended (12 cm minimum)? Any improvement if so? A couple new overall graphs may be helpful.

I would focus more on the big picture rather than the individual events right now. Your treatment does not appear to be sufficient so adjustments are warranted. If you are not comfortable making these adjustments yourself I would recommend seeing a doctor about doing so.

iirc those annoyingly misleading numbers are going away in the next version of Oscar. If it's not a meaningful number, it's not going to be there...
