How to determine correct pillow size?

Post by Judy12205 » Mon Oct 21, 2019 9:42 am

Having tried the ResMed N30i nasal mask and cushions, I've decided to go back to the ResMed AirFit P10 for Her. I had been using medium pillows but for the past few nights tried the small pillows, and my AHI numbers were much better. Other than using those numbers to judge, is there a way to determine the correct pillow size? When I was using the N30i cushions, there was a card that you can use to help determine the correct cushion size. Is there anything similar for the P10 pillows?

No...there isn't any sort of special fitting guide for any of the nasal pillow masks that I am aware of. Fitting is mainly related to nostril opening size. You don't want the nasal pillow so small that it tries to crawl up inside the nostril. Been there and done that and it's a bit uncomfortable plus it limits air movement and can be stifling.

Mainly for nasal pillow sizing....comfort and results. No hard fast rules or guides to follow. Just whatever size feels good and gives you the results you like.

Cpap masks are like shoes--gotta try them on.

Likewise, never use a cpap mask for footwear.

Pillow masks are super-easy for me: always order the extra-large. Oh wait, there’s no such thing. Sorry, what was the question?
