nasal mask and nasal polyps problems

Post by ClaudeM » Thu Oct 17, 2019 12:35 pm

Hi,i have a resmed cpap machine with a nasal and facial mask,im usually use the nasal mask, having nasal polyps my nose is always partially blocked,i already had a surgery years agao but polyps came back,my doctor dosent want to repeat the intervention saying they will come back again,on top of that i lost the sence of smell,im wondering if air pressure pushing into my nose is pushing back in all the secretions in my sinuses,p.s. i regulary using water/salt/cortisone mixture into a sinusrince bottle.i tried last night the facial mask and it was very difficult.
thank for your comments

Medscape is my secret source for dealing with bad doctors: https://emedicine.medscape.com/article/861353-treatment

They give a very good summary of diseases along with current treatments written by actual doctors. You might need to create a free account. Check what the doctor said with the information on the page and perhaps find another ENT.

Someone here with experience using full face mask probably can help you adapt to the mask.
