Replacement CPAP?

Post by Digarc » Thu Oct 17, 2019 8:23 am

After using my ResMed AutoSet s8 for probably too long (35000+ hours), with a few hard yanks off the nightstand over the years, it seems to have given up the ghost. It still reports a low AHI and an average pressure in the 7-8cm range, but I wake every REM cycle sweating and anxious just as when I travel without the CPAP, and subjectively when I do rouse, the pressure still seems extremely low.

So, I think I need a new unit. A friend told me there are some great users here (LSAT?) who can help with that. I’d DM, but as a new user, I’m not allowed to. I’d love a newer APAP that has full Oscar data capability and maybe a travel unit as well — tired of business travel being awful.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

Wow, 35000 hours is impressive. That may be the highest hour unit I have heard of. That is 12 years of 8hrs a night!!!

I have an almost new Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset with very low hours for sale if you are interested. DM me.

Thanks so much! I must have tried to PM before the post was approved, and it does work now. Here’s hoping!

I might be selling a Dreamstation Go Auto travel machine soon (not sure yet) if I end up switching to BiLevel.
