Without cpap, your heart would have likely gone downhill much faster.
Important--DO NOT STOP CPAP,
unless your doctor tells you to.

I'm not optimistic about that either and so I'm looking to be "that guy" that brings in the paperwork showing that these are indeed valid paths to go down in figuring this out. I already cancelled one that was only going to be with a technician who admitted he was not qualified to do anything beyond reading the numbers and telling me what to set my machine at. I'm way past that and need an answer about the physiology of the problem so I don't go through the test mill chasing every theory while charging me for it. I guess my hope would be that if they don't go, "oh yeah....seen that a million times...do this" that they would send me for another heart workup to rule that out. I understand the physiology of your heart not working as hard while you sleep on CPAP and therefore possibly not moving blood as much but it shouldn't stay with you during waking hours.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 4:32 pmGood for you! Keep it up!Painkiller wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 4:04 pm... a CPAP that I adapted to overnight (slept 10 hours first night without any hassles) ... Now the numbers for heart rate, resting heart rate, etc. are all coming down. ...
I'm not even sure I COULD sleep well without the machine now? Don't really want to try.
Which doctor did this work? Can you get in touch with her right away and let her know about the edema? I'm not optimistic that it will be addressed properly on your 7/21 sleep doctor visit. The last heart check I had which included a sonogram, EKG, etc. was about 5 years ago IIRC and all was well with the chambers and valves.
I'd love to hear from some above what their outcomes were?

You are in Omaha?
So many choices--the bullfrog's cardio is in Lincoln,
but Omaha is literally crawling with talented docs who choose
to raise their families away from the big city insanity.
See the healthgrades numbers for any you consider.
