Circadiance SleepWeaver Elan Cloth CPAP Mask

Post by JayDee » Thu Oct 03, 2019 8:07 pm

While I was ordering a new F30 cushion, I happened to see a cloth cpap mask -- the Circadiance SleepWeaver Elan. I have not noticed it before. It seemed to have potential for a side sleeper like me since there was no rigid frame. So, I ordered one.

Last night was the first night with it and I have to say, it worked well. Since there's no rigid frame, when you lay the side of your face on the pillow, it flattens that side of the mask, but the other side is still inflated. Like trying to flatten one side of a balloon, it just makes the other side expand.

I've got the F30 and an F10 as backups if needed, but I think I'll give the cloth mask a decent trial period to see how it goes. So far, so good.

It's a weird cloth, like very thin sail-cloth or something. It's not like normal cotton/poly blend clothing material. The side that contacts your face is also weird like a rubberized micro-suede, but it's not rubber and it's not micro-suede. Hard to describe. But it seals well and stays put.

The idea of a cloth mask caught my interest, but another big selling point (at least to me it is) is that the headgear sits further back on your head. I'm hoping I can lose the top/front, F30-headgear induced, swoopy-cow-lick, CPAP, hair-do.

I have used the entire SleepWeaver line over the past 8 years. I think the Elan is a very good mask. I like the 3D a bit better I think, still debating with myself.
