My nose is too long for a Wisp mask

Post by rhsess » Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:30 pm

So I got my new Wisp mask today and was excited to have it; however, it's not going to work for me.

When I put the mask on, the fit seems right but the tip of my nose blocks the inflow of air (it plugs the round hole that the air comes through). While the sizing gauge that came with it indicates I should use a S/M mask, that mask is way too small....the Large and XL fit much batter.... but...there is the problem of my nose being too long? I am a big guy with a big head (Size 8 hat) but my nose is not disproportionately large or long yet I have this issue.

Have any of you'll have a problem with the tip of your nose blocking the air tube opening?

I really want to like this mask but I think I will have to send it back on Monday.

I can't imagine the tip of your nose blocking the air vent unless you are pulling it too tight or the headgear is too small. Unless you have a hook-shaped nose????

From the side, the frame should sit between your eye and the ear.
I tend to want to pull the silicone part on the top of my head toward the back, but it really should be a little more forward than you think. Try that, and loosen the strap a bit. It should not be pushing up on your nose, just laying gently under it.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about a regular Wisp, not the DreamWisp, as DreamWisp doesn't come with s/m, or XL cushions.

But yeah, should try loosening up the straps.
