I don't know what machine you are using but you probably burned the humidifier tub....plastic smell. Buy a new tub.

Just clean the tank really good.
The crud that remains when the tub runs dry is smelly, and can smell scorchy.
Run the machine without wearing it for a few minutes to clear the hose and mask.
This always works for me.
Place crushed mint leaves or your favorite tea bag near the intake for a fresh, clean smell.

Wash your hose and mask really good just in case they have picked up some of the burnt smell.

If washing the water chamber really good doesn't remove the odor....get a new water chamber. Fairly inexpensive on EBay or Amazon.
