Respironics CPAP Model Numbers?

Okay -- my husband's script as reached the DME I originally asked them to send it to.

They called to let us know they had it, and they're going over the insurance. Silly things, y'know, like billing his regular insurance and not Medicare.

Since we had a discussion about straight vs auto-cpap, and since I have a script in hand for an auto, I want to make sure I have the right model numbers.

The doc prefers Respironics, and since I've only ever had Respironics, I see no point in arguing for Resmed.

I've only kept up with the ASVs.

Now, I'm assuming there's a Dreamstation brick.

And a Dreamstation straight CPAP

And a Dreamstation auto-CPAP.

I also remember reading about -- but can't recall if it was System One or Dreamstation -- of an evil model which would give data for the first month and then it reverts to a brick, an IQ model?

So what are the model numbers for each of these so I can keep an eye out. I trust this DME, but, you know the drill -- TRUST, but VERIFY.

DreamStation models all start with DSX then have 3 digits and some random letters and numbers that are code for shipping with or without some stuff.
The 3 numbers are your main target

The DreamStation Auto CPAP.....model DSX500xxx this is the auto/apap model you are wanting
The DreamStation Pro CPAP....model DSX400xxx.....fixed pressure only except for some very limited apap trial mode that goes away once all the available nights in auto mode are used up
The DreamStation CPAP....model DSX200xxx....fixed cpap brick

In the bilevel department
DSX600xxx...fixed bilevel
DSX700xxx...auto bilevel
and of course your ASV and some model with even higher number for special cases.

Thank you, Pugsy! I thought it was the 500 we wanted, but I just wanted to make sure that I had all the permutations fixed in my head.

The Dreamstation Auto with humidifier is DSX500H11. You can buy the humidifier separately later if needed, but it would be better to have the DME order the integrated version if possible. You can still disconnect the humidifier for travel if you choose.

We'll be getting the integrated version. My husband is unlikely to travel without the humidifier.
