Stop any automatic shipping or reminders.
Go to the new place, get the prescription and insurance details set up.
The new place might need a new scrip from your doctor.

Re: replacing dme provider
I would think that your medical insurance drives who you can see for CPAP supplies. for example, I am on Tricare, so I can only purchase equipment from Tricare approved DME's if I want my insurance to cover 80% of the cost. Of course, I can always pay out of pocket & go anywhere with a prescription. I would think that would be the same for everyone. I have to inform my primary care doctor that I want to switch DME & they will assign me a new DME. And yes, I have switched DME's. I did not care for the brick & mortar pharmacy they assigned me to the first time. I now use CPAP Medical for all my supplies and they get delivered every 3-6 months automatically. I have to inform them if I want to switch masks which I have just done.

thx for all info , I did inform doctors office that I no longer wanted to deal with rotech and they gave me prescription for new one . I provided all of my insurance info to new one so hopefully all will go well . I just get nervous when you read horror stories about other people being charged for equip they returned .

Yeah, been there.
DirecTV still wants $49+ from me for a receiver which was returned,
but they messed up the brand, model, and serial number.
Stupid jerks! What do I need with good credit, anyway?

Re: replacing dme provider
You have to tell the old one that you are no longer ordering supplies through them. You may in fact have signed an agreement allowing them to bill periodically for supplies -- you must revoke that agreement.bristolman wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2019 11:32 amthx for all info , I did inform doctors office that I no longer wanted to deal with rotech and they gave me prescription for new one . The first and most important thing to remember is NEVER PROVIDE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO ANY DME!
IF they have your credit card they will bill you for something. It doesn't matter if you ordered it, if you received it, or even if they shipped it. The billing department is always good at charging every credit card they have access to.
