Trying Airfit f30 mask at night only unnconnected

Post by Chandleresque » Sat Aug 31, 2019 9:13 pm

Is it useful to try sleeping with a mask on first w/o airsense machine to get used to mask at night. I have taken the elbow off obviously and there is a large enough hole to breath comfortably - I assume

Personally, I'd prefer getting used to the mask while sleeping with the machine. You might just get lucky and find that effective treatment resolves the apneas and the sleep is so good you forget the mask is even on. At least give yourself that opportunity. And thinking I wouldn't want even slightly restricted airflow with untreated sleep apnea. Some here have worn their mask while reading or watching TV to help get acclimated. Good luck with things.

Try hooking it up to the machine and sit watching TV or reading for an hour or two. Then you will have the pressure which will make the feeling more realistic.

LSAT has some really good advice. I tried it with my F30 when I first got it and realized quickly it was the best thing since sliced bread for me. Absolutely love the mask.

Good luck! I hope it works as well for you.
