Airsense 10 power button

Post by Michael H. » Sat Aug 31, 2019 10:38 am

I have an Airsense 10 and I have the Auto On feature enabled. I use it with nasal pillows. It has always auto started for me, but will not auto stop. To stop it I need to press the power button on top. No biggy!

I just flew in from out of state and found out that the airline company was not very gentle with my bags. Be that as it may I also found out that my power button is no longer working on my CPAP machine. This leaves me unplugging the cord each day to stop it from running.

I am willing to disassemble the machine to fix it, but I want an exploded diagram first. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? I am out of warranty.

Unsure about where on can get an exploded diagram, instead of unplugging the unit try disconnecting your mask.

I've seen a few nasal pillow users mention auto off doesn't work. Probably more convenient than unplugging the machine.

You could plug your machine into a power block and use the block's on off switch instead of plugging'unplugging.

Just out of the blue do you have the cpap set to pillows or mask. Mine will run for about 15 sec before turning off, I use the p10's

Apparently, the airline broke the power button.
File a claim with the airline for damages.
Next time, carry on only.
Baggage handlers can be destructive.
Sometimes it "could" be intentional!

Well I tried disconnecting the air hose from my pillows mask. It shut down in exactly 5 seconds. I guess I will settle for that for now.

You do realize newer Resmed products blow to cool down and dry the hose for a while. Also it has a warranty for 2 years, if you want it repaired, and have a spare unit to use. (If it too hard to just operate in on a power strip, a no brainer to me!) Read the manual, to see how yours works. Unless there is visible damage, good luck with the air line. Jim

The front panel clips off and the power button sits in clips on top. I never check my cpap it stays with me then I don’t have these issues
