On the OSCAR site, it said to make sure it is locked. I guess for it to get the info from it? Not sure. 🤷
The lock warning is mainly for users of the ResMed S9 model machines.
Some operating systems (some Macs and Windows 8.0 and higher) put a little text file on the SD card when you insert the card in the computer. It doesn't really hurt anything except the S9 model machines don't like the SD card if that text file is on the SD card and if you stick the SD card back into the S9 with that text file on it the machine will reject it and tell you it's an invalid card.

Respironics machines have never cared about that text file and now the ResMed AirSense/Air Curve machines don't care either.
Only S9 users need to worry about locking the SD card.
It has nothing to do with the software like OSCAR or SleepyHead doing anything.

I never lock my SD card now. I did when I was using a S9 though.
Oh, thank you! That makes sense. :)

I have tried Sleepyhead, but it is not happy (glitchy) on my computer, lol. Back to Oscar! It tries to read the file, but it stops responding after a minute. I may take the computer in to see if the computer professionals can get it to work. Again, thanks for all the help and suggestions.

To fix Oscar

Try going here and running the reg file. This will set the graphics engine to a different version
