This is the resmed "motor", the air flows in the opening in one end, around the motor, and out the other:

Interesting little motor, three phase, VFD from the controller board. very low inertia, and dual turbines inside the housing, with all those flow quietening vanes on the output.
I wish I'd had a ruler for scale in the pics. it's pretty small.
