Better alternative to Swift FX Nano?

Post by cyberdreamer » Tue Jul 30, 2019 10:56 am

Hi everyone,

I find the Resmed Swift FX Nano very comfortable and have been using it for 3 years but I am trying to reduce my leaks in an effort to improve my energy levels. I often notice minor leaks all around the mask and sometimes wake up with dry eyes.

From what I've read, the Swift FX Nano is an old design and there are better masks around. Is the Resmed N20 an improved version of the Swift FX Nano? Anyone has experience with both masks?

Other masks I've tried:
  • Swift FX Nasal pillows (Medium size): Too small or I just don't like nasal pillows? It touches my septum and irritates it right away and feels like not enough air is blowing. Didn't even try sleeping with it.
  • Philips Dreamwear: Annoying condensation happens a lot faster than in Swift FX Nano at the humiditiy level I like and my nose gets very dry/irritated with less humidity. Tends to leak into my eyes sometimes and it's a bit noisy sometimes.
Thanks for all the support!
Machine: Airsense 10 Autoset (humidity 7, slimline hose) (5 years)
Mask: Resmed F30 (medium) (1 year)
Previous masks: Swift FX Nano (5 years); Dreamwear Nasal (few days); Swift FX pillow (few days)

My original mask was the Swift FX Nano. I switched to the Resmed P10, and like it much better. The other one I like is the F&P Brevida. I also liked the Wisp nasal mask. You just have to try them out and see for yourself. www.cpap.com has return Insurance on masks if you want to try one and don't like it, they return it.

I HATED the condensation in nasal pillow masks, I always felt like I had a wet dog nose. But I've had ZERO condensation in the Dreamwear. There is a version of Dreamwear with nasal pillows and one that is just a tube with a slot the air comes out of. Did you try the latter? It's still a little loosey goosey and tends to leak, but I find I can tighten it up more than nasal pillows so it doesn't leak.
