IF you have insurance why not speak directly with them to get their thoughts on this matter.

The DME won't tell you if they have a different agreement with your insurance that can mean more out of their pocket.

The DME will not tell you anything if it will cost them money.
They have even been known to (cough, cough) lie.
Talk to your INSURANCE.
