Tried CPAP 4 weeks/Quit/Now I'm back with data

Post by homey76 » Fri Jul 19, 2019 3:10 pm

Hello all! I have tried CPAP this year. I have an AHI of 40, mostly hypoapneas. My pressure is set from 8-20 cm. I used the device consistently for 4 weeks straight until I could no longer function at work. My numbers were great per the resmed machine (air sense 10 machine with air fit 10 mask). I use a nasal mask and chin strap. Normally I am a mouth breather at night, but with the nasal was getting good results. Maybe my OSCAR data can shed some light on this? I don't want to give up, but my doc wants me to take provigil every day while i'm getting used to the mask. It feels like I'm on speed or something. What file or screen shot do I need to show you folks to interpret my OSCAR results from earlier this year?

Have you asked him/her WHY they want you to stay awake when you SHOULD be sleeping???

What do you think "great" is?

That's not a machine.

It's an Air Sense 10 as the machine.

That's my question!! Why do they want me to take a hardcore stimulant to keep me up all day/night

Well, it WOULD certainly prevent apneas, as long as you're awake.

It’s great that you’re back and also using Oscar. To post a helpful chart, please turn off the pie chart and the calendar. That way the experts can see all the data in the last-hand panel. Then make sure you include the following graphs in one screen shot:

Events
Flow rate
Pressure
Leaks
Flow limitations
Snores, if you snore a fair amount.

You can grab the horizontal line between graphs and scrunch them a little to get them all in one screen shot.
