Re: Sorry - Another Leak Question - Where's it coming from?
Thanks for the help. I changed mask size and hose and still had a significant leak, according to the machine, of 99.6L/min. I had the mask strapped on pretty tight last night and didn't hear any major leaks. Wouldn't a leak of that size be fairly audible if it was the mask, tubing or one of the joints? Could it be the machine, humidifier tub or the machine to ResMed tube elbow ? I'm kind of grasping at straws here. Thanks for any thoughts. Again.

Can I see the report from last night?
Do you have facial hair?
Still using the mask liner?

I didn't bring my SD card into work today. Sorry. I can post it tonight. No facial hair to speak of although I've been told I need to shave more often. LOL! Yes, I am using the liner. Those seem to help. But again, maybe not. I still have my original Dreamstation machine so maybe i will give that a shot tonight and see if it makes any difference. Just thought of doing that. But I will post a SH pic of last night's session.
BTW, should I now be using that other software, Oscar, instead of SH? I tried to see if I should switch. I also see that there is a version of SH 1.1. I'm still using v1.0.0-bets-2.
Thanks again.

If your machine was acting up you wouldn't have times with no large leak showing on the leak graph.
Your other reports showed no large leak at times and then things went to hell. That tells me it is mask movement that is the issue and not the machine having a problem with the mask type per se. If it never showed leaks under control that's one thing which would maybe point to machine having a problem with your mask but that's not what I saw on your other reports.
So that makes me wonder what else might be causing mask movement and poor fit.
Hence the liner and facial hair question.
Liners can make leaks worse in terms of amounts...but they do buffer the sound so less likely to wake us up and that's why most people use liners. Leaks are minor but don't wake us up.
Facial hair....even if it's a short stiff stubble which could actually be more of a problem than a full soft beard...is the next thing to look at.
