Storage

Post by Randybbsa » Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:37 pm

A friend gave me her dreamstation go with water reservoir, after she decided she just didn’t like it. I have a lake house, and go every weekend throughout the summer, so I keep it there and use it. Beats packing up my cpap machine I use at home. I clean it before leaving Sundays. My concern is in the winter time, I may not be there for a couple of months. Is there a good way of storing it, to prevent mold and bacteria? My thought would be to clean it when I leave, and again when I arrive. Your thoughts?

well, first off, lucky you! why can't *I* have friends like that?

yes, cleaning as you say. but how about the largest sized ziplock bag you can find? or even several and break your cpap down to machine in one bag, humidifier in another and so forth.

they DO make carry bags for them, but don't know if you'd want to spend money on one.

i'm sure other, more clever, folks will be along with brilliant ideas.

Zipper bags, great idea! Separate the parts--even better.
Throw a few silica gel packets in with it.
I recycle most that I find in pill bottles--and put them in an airtight bag.

I put my backup machine in a gallon ziplock bag.... Walmart brand. The kind that has a plastic zipper. Fits perfectly.

I'd add a hand full of moisture suckers in it too. Jim

I wouldn't want to trap moisture in the bag with electronics.
