Philips NightBalance Lunoa - Sleep Apnea related

Post by kbh209 » Wed Jul 03, 2019 7:19 pm

I've been seeing the advertisements on social media for this device. Basically it's something you wear under your clothes, around your chest. If it detects you're sleeping on your back, it'll send gentle pulsations so you'll turn on your side. It's for the sub-set of positional obstructive sleep apnea. . .so I'm wondering if this is just for the mild OSA?

They market it as an alternative to CPAP, for those with positional apnea.

It COSTS as much as a basic CPAP machine ($700+/-).

Theoretically only for (very) mild OSA, but for any given person, you'd have to get tested before using it and then along the way by at least a few wks, and then months to know for sure if it works and/or if you really have/had OSA at all.
