Is OSCAR hungry??

Post by AmyontheFarm » Thu Jun 27, 2019 2:43 pm

I'm new to using OSCAR so I probably messed up and clicked something I wasn't supposed to click. I've been using my ICON cpap machine for a little bit and I put my F&P INFOusb stick into my computer around day 5 and admired all the pretty graphs and charts - which I haven't learned how to read yet. Then a week later (today) I put it into my machine again and was checking out todays graphs and realized that all the info from the previous time I uploaded is now gone. Is OSCAR hungry and eating my data? Did I tell him/her that they should delete the data each time?

This is gonna be a problem when I go back to see the doctor in Nov. He wants to see all the data and he is already ticked that I was smart enough (from reading this wonderful forum) to know that I didn't have to buy his over priced machine and mask and instead was determined to use my gently used ICON (my sister's FIL had it for 2 months then passed away). I did buy a new mask my F&P Simplex and hose but NOT from the dr.

So, any suggestions on how to quench OSCAR's appetite?

Take your SD card to the doctor. Let him read the data from there.

Well, on your first screen, I'd start with 'reset defaults' in the lower left corner.

If your doctor is ticked at you, find another doctor... or remind him that he works for you.

OSCAR doesn’t write to or delete anything from the SD card/ usb stick. It copies the data to your PC and reports using that copied data. While it is possible you deleted the information from your PC, the data will still be on the usb stick.

Ok, I'll trust that all the data is on the card and the dr will be able to read it.

@palerider I did what you said to do! Thanks!

Now, I just need a course on how to read all the graphs! LOL Has anyone created a "Dummy's Guide to understanding CPAP graphs?" I bet it would sell! LOL
