Investigate using Lume deodorant on feet, esp toes, kills the bacteria that stink. Can be used anywhere on the body, esp where sweating occurs, bacteria feed on the sweat and oils. Can spray skin, fabric, and shoes with hypochlorous acid to kill bacteria (I use CleanSmart from Amazon). It's active for 60 seconds and then turns into saline. Persil (scented or unscented) laundry detergent is excellent at removing skunky scents.Zomby Woof wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 3:05 pm...Even keeping my feet as clean as possible, the smell from skin cells sloughed off and

I use the CPAP machine for about 12 years. I've had no real problems with it. I try not to let the humidifier get cruddy.
Another comment, reading this board is more fun than it should be. There is a real collection of characters here. Thank you for the entertainment and good advice.

Re: Affordable CPAP Cleaner
I explain it like this:
You have a bougar on your mask. You stick it in the FauxClean. You run it. You take your mask out of the machine. The bougar is still there...but wait! Now it is FauxClean!
Use soap and water. If you want a non-toxic soap, use Dr. Bronner's soap. Lots of folks use Dawn.
My rule is this: is it touches my face/skin, it gets washed. I wash my nasal pillows and the straps that touch my face daily with Dr. Bronner's soap. My headgear that only touches my just-washed hair never gets washed. Neither do my humidifier tank or hose.

LOL, Zonker!
Yeah, and I could always get bitten by a werewolf or a zombie, too. I figure there's an equal chance between those two and being "bitten" by my machine / gear.

Never get infected from my XPAP, but I don't take chances, every year I clean my mask with my belt sander, whether it needs cleaned or not.
