Requesting Reviews of Snoring Apps

Post by ChicagoGranny » Mon Jun 24, 2019 2:19 pm

Asking for a friend. Her FitBit shows "awake" over one hour each night. But, she doesn't remember awakening any. She thinks she snores mildly.

I've had the last several fitbit watches that record sleep - I've found them to be rather inaccurate for the details - it shows sleep if you lie very still, but awake if you're a bit restless. REM sleep is random. Compared to sleepyhead/oscar its only value is a gross measure of bed time.

I believe the literature packaged with Fitbit includes a phrase something like
"Not intended for medical use--for amusement only."
Be amused, but expect no more.

Don't forget some people are more easily amused than others. Jim

My old computer ran 54 apps, none of them snored.

Never mind. She's going to read through this list and pick out a snoring app - https://www.sleepassociation.org/sleep- ... ring-apps/

I had good luck with SnoreLab and it was part of what got me talking to my doctor and lead to my diagnosis. You can use it free for a couple of days and then it requires a day or two between uses. I found the ability to listen to my snoring the night after very informative.
