Looking for ResMed Air Sense10 with Humidifier

Post by Tisch0721 » Wed Jun 19, 2019 11:46 am

Looking for a ResMed Air Sense10 with Humidifier. Machine is needed for my mother as she comes to visits couple times a month for several days. Having machine will make it easier on her from packing it up at her house and bringing it here or as she has done fort got it.

Try sending a message to forum member LSAT he usually has machines available. I bought a machine from him, he was very professional and a pleasure to do business with.

I realize these are a generation older, but for all intents and purposes, the S9 and AS10 machines are the same, functionally. And, the prices are good.

He often has some slightly used machines available.

What pressure does she use?
I don't have a ResMed machine but I do have a Respironics machine I would sell...used and probably more machine than she needs but for cheap. Let me know if you would consider a Respironics machine. It's PR System One BiPAP Auto...model 760 with about 1600 hours on it.

Read Pugsy's post in that thread. OK. I copied it here for you.
Almost every advanced machine can also be configured to do straight CPAP, too.

OMG Thank you for allowing me to realize that there is a cpap hoarder out there worse than me.
That is such a relief and makes me feel tons better about my hoarding.

Folks....these are great prices for this particular model ASV machine...The S9 ASV model is actually called the S9 Adapt...there were 2 models...the 36037 models shown here are the newer models with auto EPAP available....the prior model 36007 (I think) had only fixed EPAP. Model 36037 has both fixed EPAP and auto EPAP modes available....36037 model is comparable to the AirCurve 10 ASV model...just in a different package.
If you know ASV machines you will know what I mean. If you don't know ASV machines and are considering one...learn about it first.
They are bilevel devices that go above what regular bilevel can do...these machines can breathe for you if you have a problem with too many central apneas. They can also be dumbed down a bit and made to function like regular auto bilevel devices or really dumbed down so it functions like an apap.
Again...you need to learn about them and understand them if you don't already know the ins and outs of ASV machines.

You're recommending things without even finding out what the OPs mom needs.

Maybe she needs something other than "straight CPAP"

This is the exact machine she has at her house. Her DR recomended if she could find a slightly used one it would be fine and the have a person that comes in twice a week to the hospital that can program it to what the other machine is set to .

And, you misread MY words and Pugsy's, too. Apparently those machines can be configured to a wide range of settings.

An "Airsense 10" just MAY be a straight CPAP.......even though there are many models within that name.

Which machine? The "Airsense 10" designation can apply to quite a few different models.

I didn't "misread" anything. I know the 36037 vpap adapt through and through, my brother has three of them, all of which I bought and configured.

What's your experience level with that machine?
