Airsense 10 Red Frowny Face

Post by el344 » Tue Jun 18, 2019 9:54 am

I have both an Airsense 10 Elite and an Airsense 10 Autoset, both set to a fixed pressure of 9. I have been using the Elite for most of the past 6 months. I have been using a Dreamwear nasal pillow mask for over a year. I have almost never gotten a red frowny face for mask fit until the last two weeks. Now I get it every night. My AHI is still around 0.5. When I run the mask fit option it tells me it's good.

I've changed back to my Swift FX. No change. I've replaced my pillows, headgear, and frame for both masks. No change. Last night I changed from my Elite to my Autoset machine and surprise -- no more red frowny face.

So it seems there is something wrong with my Elite. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Thanks!

Sounds like you still need to eliminate a problem in the hose or humidifier, unless you are using the same ones for both machines.

I am using the same hose and humidifier. All settings are the same.

Have you done an awake experiment with the potentially ailing Elite to see if your leak is ever within acceptable limits or zero when you know for a fact it isn't leaking?
That's what I would do first...awake...make sure no leaks...use the machine for about 30 minutes while awake...then look at the leak line graphs and see if they are showing consistent large leak reporting or intermittent variations in the leak being reported.
If you are awake and you know you aren't leaking anyway...there should be no excess leaks at all and most certainly no variance in the leak line.
