Feeling drowsy but cant sleep

Post by wyatt_lee » Wed Feb 21, 2007 4:03 am

Hi,
I am in big trouble right now and need advice. For the last 45 days I cant sleep properly. Sometimes I feel so sleep that I could sleep on desk while I am working in the office. This is not good for me nor for my boss (of course) but I can’t help my self. This is affecting my health and work also. When I go to bed I don’t feel sleepy. In the last when I sleep I get bad dreams. And in the morning I feel that I did not sleep in the night, which makes me drowsier. I need a properly dream free sleep. I m even planning to take sleeping pills. Please help me

Sleep out of sync

wyatt_lee,

It may that your inability to go to sleep at night is due to something happening to wake you up when you doze off. Or your body may be fighting sleep because it knows something is going to happen when you sleep. It is not uncommon for people with sleep apnea to have bad dreams. What you need is not dream free nights, but dreams that are not frightening and do not wake you, causing you to remember them. With your degree of daytime sleepiness and other symptoms, you need to get a sleep study ASAP. Please do not delay, as the process can sometimes be lengthy and your body is asking for relief. In the meantime, sleep propped up or in a recliner, and stay off your back.

Kathy

It could also be related to insomnia, or any other number of issues. Really, the only way to know is to go get a sleep study and see what's going on.

If you want some empathy from a non-sleep apnea specific board, check out the Talk About Sleep Insomnia boards.

Either way, TELL YOUR DOCTOR, GET A DOCTOR, and do something about it. Sleep is important.

colin_in7 is a spammer. Though - I must say - he's a better than average one. Go and search for all posts by this guy. You'll see they have something in common.

In every one, a relative newbie comes in and posts what sounds like a real problem. Then, another "newbie" with a similarly-formatted name comes in and recommends Derma Sleep. In this post, Colin recommends it. On both of his other posts, colin was the thread starter, and someone else came in and recommended it.

If Derma sleep were something common, I wouldn't have picked up on this - but it is something that has only been mentioned on this forum three times - in the exact three threads that Colin posted in.

The other spammer names this person is using are wyatt_lee (starter of this thread), marissa2h2h and carter1144.

In each of these threads, there is a thread starter and a Derma Sleep recommender. The starter of this thread is a spammer, and not a person with an actual problem. We more than likely won't see them again until it's time for someone else to come post a "problem," and time for THIS person to recommend DermaSleep. :p

Nothing like a little 5 am detective work.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about because there's no post from colin here, that means cpaptalk.com has removed it. Yay!
