Is there a water chamber release?

I've been using this machine for about a month and every night I struggle to get the water chamber to separate from the unit. Is there a release button I'm missing?

You simply press down on the white tab at the top of the water chamber as you pull the chamber out....It can be a little tight on some machines, but it definitely comes out. I guess you could try a different water chamber it yours is too tight.

I squeeze the end of the tank in the vertical axis, which pulls the internal tabs down
from the ledges inside the top of the "garage". It takes a bit of strength,
which meant I had trouble in the first week after CTR surgery.

And the answer is:

There's no release

There is no "release" button, per se.
The tank is hinged, with a flexible gasket between the top and bottom.
and bumps on the top that catch on edges inside its docking port.
Lowering the bumps make the tank readily removable.
Compressing the tank vertically with the hand is, in fact the "release".

You could try wearing a rubber glove when you are pulling out the tub.

I looked for something in the places that "should" have it, but
The only device that comes to mind is welding clamps.
Looks like vise grips with extra wide jaws.
Sold by Harbor freight.
Padding the jaws and adjusting carefully should help protect the tank.
Curved extensions could be added to the handles for more leverage if needed.

I sometimes have difficulty getting that water chamber out. I am right handed and have a bit of arthritis in my hands and sometimes my right thumb decides to be a big annoyance (literally and figuratively when it swells up). I can't always grip things as securely as I would like to or need to.

What I have read...
Make sure the bottom of the water chamber is totally dry and the inside of the humidifier, where the chamber rests, is also totally dry.
Another thing some people have done is take an emery board and file the little gripper things on top of the chamber down a bit so they don't stick quite so good. I think I would have a spare chamber on hand if I did this though...just in case I dropped it or really tore something up.

Oh....and a few not so nice expletives seems to help also.

Most of the time I don't have that big of a problem...just occasionally.
And I do have a grippy garden glove....somewhere. Guaranteed to be the farthest thing from my mind when it comes to topping off the chamber at bedtime though. Should I ever have this happen frequently....I will have to just buy another pair and leave it on the night table...or else the aliens will move it for sure and I won't ever be able to find it again.

So far aspirin and the cuss words seems to be all I need. The flare ups are infrequent so far.
Right now my newest big problem is the left shoulder...sigh. Always something. The joint injection didn't help as much as the last time I got it. Well...at least it's the left and not the right which would cause me significant issues being right handed.

I do sort of wish that with the next ResMed model that they do away with the need for strength and go with a latch system again. Would make it a whole lot easier on folks.

What works for me is lifting the water chamber up slightly as Im pulling it out and have the white tab pushed in. Pulling it up a bit seems to break the seal easier between the plate and chamber. YMMV

I just let my wife fill up the water chambers every night since she goes to bed earlier than I do. If I went to bed when she does, I would be up about 4:00 o'clock every morning. The way it is now, I can sleep in until around 6.
