My appetite increased but so did my energy level so I lost some weight.

I gained 100 lbs, but it's not XPAP caused! It's the loss of ability to move, caused by Heart problems and Diabetes, if you can't move you can't burn fuel. XPAP keeps me Alive! Jim

I gained at first because it really reduced my GERD and I was able to enjoy eating more. But when I got control of my diet, it helped me lose more easily than ever before.

On average cpap usage may cause a little additional weight gain. But that's
on average with a few people gaining a lot and rarely someone will lose a
lot just using cpap but don't count on that happening to you.

I blame my age.
Since cpap has probably extended my life, I guess it could be partly to blame.
I don't much care for the alternative, though, so I'll keep using it.

I've only recently started but it's definitely made me hungrier. I wake up hungrier than usual. If I use it and don't fall asleep right away, I can feel myself getting hungrier. I've chalked it up to it taking extra "work" to exhale against pressure.
