In all fairness... it they were *anodized* aluminum (which is how they got the colors in) and anodized aluminum is very non-reactive.
In even more fairness, you could technically anodize aluminum by throwing it into a SoClean, since anodizing is basically just a highly controlled oxidation process, and ozone has very strong oxidizing properties.

(Yes, I know that wouldn't work, that's the joke)

Fill them with Kool-Aid first. like the directions say! Jim

Well last night just saw the new So No Clean Ad, With Capt Kirk, Another Fail, while in bed with his male friend, he did not use his XPAP machine, probably his standard practice, for Sleep Apnea. Jim

I agree on the fail. Claimed CPAP makes people sick. Didn't wear a CPAP. Fail. And fail.

There have been many many users here who, when the facts about their NoClean are explained to them, will get their feathers ruffled and argue that all the experts here are wrong. Completely unable to admit that they've been buffaloed.

Good for you for being rational, evaluating the facts and taking the appropriate action.

Just appreciate all that real estate you're getting back!

I have used CPAP for more than 15 years. Clean my heated hose about once a month, at the most, sometimes two months go buy before I rinse it out!

Rarely ever clean the humidifier, but do use distilled water. I clean the mask infrequently too.

Never had any respiratory illnesses or mold issues.

I looked at So-Clean and Lumin, and thought it was way overpriced and nothing but fearmongering.

The whole germ thing is an overblown scam.

I am not saying don't clean your machine gear regularly, do whatever you are comfortable with.

I live in a dry climate, so that probably helps me "get away with" less cleaning.
I think the manufacturers say to rinse/clean daily/regularly just to CYA themselves, because there will always be somebody who lives in an environment where mold and germs can grow easier than most other people, so they have to instruct to the lowest common denominator.

I test people at the front door, if their Germs are Stronger than Mine, I don't let them in my House.
