Oh Great! Now I'm going to worry about spiders getting into my machine!

that ring on the nightstand where your cold water sweated.
Just a side note - When I first became a CPAP user, I found that the area under the machine got damp which wasn't good for the nightstand finish. I solved that problem by making a small stand for the machine out of a of Plexiglass and stick on rubber feet.
The ring was from my drinking water--ants get thirsty.

I thought frogs enjoyed a steady food supply like ants?

I'm finicky.
Not all ants are the same.
A few are awesome--others, not so much.
Look up honeypot ants. Yum.

I ended up here by googling ants in CPAP machine because my partner’s machine has a whole colony of ants living inside his machine. I thought someone on google or in here might have experience with it and have a solution lol. This person may not be trolling because I’m staring at it right now and even have pictures if anyone wants! I didn’t even have an ant problem before this. I think they’re attracted to the water.

Just got into bed, leaned over to refill my cpap reservoir, and it was FULL of small black ants & larvae! I've got a SoClean ozone cleaner which I run every morning, which supposedly is pumping ozone throughout my cpap system to sterilize it. I guess ants don't mind. So, no ants last night, none this morning, FULL tonight. My mask was still in SoClean; no ants there. I had trouble getting the water reservoir out because the SoClean has tube hookups connecting everything, but finally got it out & found MORE larvae/ants inside my ResMed. Ran hot water to rinse everything down the drain (sure hope my ResMed works after this), sprayed Windex on everybody running around my nightstand, used a lint roller to catch any strays on my bedding (!!!). Will contact ResMed and SoClean tomorrow. WTF

Thanks for all your posts! Now I'm prepared for the fight ahead to get my ResMed machine replaced. I did NOT think to put it in a bag. I did NOT think to take a video with my phone. I just ran around the bedroom yelling "ick! icky! ick!."
Which is what I will tell all the people I have to deal with. But at least I am prepared, thanks to you!
