Airfit F20 wheezing noise

Post by rockerc » Tue May 28, 2019 1:21 pm

Only been a user for 10 days, I have an Auto Dream Station with humidifier, heated hose and an Airfit F20 full face mask. I did not have too much of a problem at first, I think because I was so tired all the time! I now have started having an issue though. On inhalation I get a constant wheezing noise from the mask. It is not loud, my wife cannot hear it, and stuffing up my ears does not help. I can still 'hear' thru my bone structure I guess! I have tried to ignore it, but it is driving me nuts. Anyone else encounter anything similar? I have tried all kinds of remedies with fit, different pressures etc but nothing changes it.

Make sure the humidifier chamber is securely attached in the machine, same as the elbow connector on the mask to the cushion. Basically, take everything apart and put it back together securely again. If that doesn't work, then try another mask and see if the problem goes away. If it does, it's the original mask for whatever reason. If it doesn't, that means your machine is the culprit in some fashion.

It could be the Fine Pollen filter in the machine. That used to drive me nuts, on inhale it whirrs or whistles...luckily i found some filters that are much quieter, anyway just try taking out only the slim, flat little filter, see if the wheeze goes away.
Yay :D For no more diaphragm cramps and dozing off while driving!
