Altitude and central sleep apnea
Altitude and central sleep apnea
Hi! I’m a long time lurker but haven’t posted before. Has anyone with CSA done better by moving to a lower altitude? We live at about 6,000 feet, not terribly high, but I feel better when we visit family in Oklahoma and Texas. Thank you in advance! I really appreciate this Board.

Re: Altitude and central sleep apnea
I think it a very individual thing but yes I do much better at lower altitudes. My sleep study which was done in Reno (about 5000 ft) had me at a fixed pressure of 20-24 with a lot of central apneas. When we moved to Arizona my pressure needs were much lower and most of the centrals went away.kmrd wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2019 7:40 amHi! I’m a long time lurker but haven’t posted before.
