ResMed P30i vs P10
ResMed P30i vs P10
I have to change masks because my style, Ultra Mirage II (used for nearly 20 years), is obsolete and I want to change to a nasal pillow vs the cushion style I have used. My concern: First, I sleep on my side with the side of my face in the pillow and I am concerned with the P30 the air flow will be restricted. Second, I have to wear an eye patch that goes around my head. Can I put on the P30 and then attach the air hose so my eye patch can go over my head and under the tube? Finally, what is the life expectancy of the elastic straps on the P10, that seems to be my major concern for that model. Thanks for your help.

Re: ResMed P30i vs P10
The p30i is better for side sleepers than most masks. There are two tubes, one on each side. Should one get restricted because of side sleeping, the other handles the flow just fine.
I don't see why not.
I have three sets that get rotated regularly, bought in May 2018, November 2018, January 2019.
All are working just fine.
Remember to wash regularly, I just toss them in the washer/dryer. Otherwise they get loose. Some people don't understand that washing them restores their elasticity and replace them prematurely.

Re: ResMed P30i vs P10
The P30i is better than the P10 when sleeping on your side. It does not cut off airflow and the frame holds the nose piece in place better than the P10 does.
Not exactly sure what you are asking about the eye patch? You could put that on, then put on the P30i. I do not think you would want the eye patch elastic going OVER the P30i frame. The P30i can be put on easily with or without the hose attached. I don't take the hose off to put it on when going to bed or when I take it off in the morning. I do remove the hose when getting up in the middle of the night.
