In addition to Craig's List, check your local Facebook Market Place. I picked up my back up machine there at a very low price.

I increased the pressure by 1 from 14 to 15, and lowered the flex from 3 to 2. I’ve been getting all readings under 5 ahi for the past 3 weeks. I still get a bunch of anxiety in the mornings, and can’t tell if it’s my medication(that I just restarted), my ocd, or the pressurr settings, or a mix of all three. I also just ordered a used cpap autoset, as suggested to see if I can get it fine tuned even more.

Should I leave the max pressure at 20 once I get the autoset and go from there?

sounds like you are on your way. yup, leave the max at 20 on the new machine. it doesn't mean the machine WILL go that high but setting it that high will allow it to go that high should your specific therapy need it.

btw, when you get your new machine and start the new journey, please reply here in this thread. it will help folks here keep track of you and monitor your progress.

good luck!

Yes, unless you have a situation like air swallowing, (aerophagia), you should NOT lower the max pressure setting.

Doing so needlessly restricts the machine's ability to respond to your needs.
