Never miss an opportunity to denigrate a forum member who is not part of the fun club.

The link D.H. provided is a link to a FaceBook Page with a scraped copy of the original YouTube. The video is small, with limited resizing. Tough to watch.

The link grayghost4 provided is the direct link to the same video on YouTube. A better alternative.

No denigration here.

Goof Proof's comment was the denigrating one. Why do we attack members who are trying to help?

Being nice to friends does not excuse mean spirited behavior towards others. Your analogy would acquit a person of beating their neighbor because that person is nice to their mother. What is so hard about being civil?

I didn't provide an analogy, and I don't consider the occasional humorous post a problem. I think Goofproof has a good sense of humour and often CPAPTalk is a better place because of him and others like him.

Perhaps you should start a topic about him. I understand it's the current rage.

You are correct on the lack of an analogy. I should have said reasoning. My apologies. Please enjoy your day.

I watched this interview with Colin Sullivan and was interested to find out that he has been using CPAP for the past 5 years or so, even though his sleep studies don't qualify him as having OSA using AHI. I think he would approve of CPAPs being sold without a prescription. :D He mentioned that on those occasions when he doesn't use his CPAP he can definitely tell the next day in terms of how he functions.

His mother died in her sleep (had a heart attack) from what was almost certainly undiagnosed OSA. Apparently this is what got him interested in SDB/OSA.

I enjoyed hearing his recollections of the early days of CPAP, and his observations and thoughts about future treatments of SDB/OSA.

He's very supportive of patient advocacy groups and comes across as a thoughtful and compassionate physician.
