swimming tripling AHI

Hi everyone!

Trying to reduce my weight I started to go swimming after work. and it seems like every time I go swimming, it triples my AHI from approximately 4 to approximately 12.
Do you have any idea what might be causing this?
Anybody had anything similar happen to them?
Ideas: tired throat muscles somehow? or firmer muscles pushing the fat into the airway? stuffy nose from the chlorine? or...?

What is the breakdown of your AHI? Obstructive apneas, hypopneas, clear airway?

When's the last time you had a regular cardiac work-up?

About 1/3 each, with slightly more obstructive events than the other two.

About a year? I broke both knees and a hand last year. Why, what's the reason?

Just making sure your problems are not new ones of e.g. ageing and/or new cardiac developments, but strictly about OSA - we do all get older unfortunately and things not OSA related do show up.
