Isn't this what doors are for? I hate to be naive, but if your animals are wreaking havoc with your cpap stuff in the bedroom, close the door with the animals on the outside?

Just a thought.
I've had my fur-babies for far longer than I've had my bilevel machine. They will get used to it and if I have to replace parts because of my own stupidity, I choose to do that rather than stress and confuse them more by locking them out of what I consider their bedroom too.

Not trying to start an argument just explaining my feelings on the matter. The op may feel differently but I believe he mentioned the cat belongs to his wife. I expect he is makng accommodations to preserve marital harmony.
Sure, just a suggestion. When we had dogs and cats for a lot of years, they didn't sleep in the occupied bedrooms, so I know that it can be done *smile*. But if you'd rather deal with the wreckage, so be it *smile*.
There are advantages and disadvantages.

Ever have to listen to a she devil cat screaming at you outside the closed bedroom door?
I got one of those myself. She rules the house and I gladly bow to her commands because if I don't...there simply is no sleep due to the screaming cussing I am getting.

And yes...I know it is my choice to keep her alive and with me. When I take on a pet it's like my marriage vows...in sickness and in health and all that stuff. Not always pretty or convenient but it is what it is.
