New BiPAP user - ResMed F30 mask and drool

Post by poisen » Sat Apr 13, 2019 8:50 pm

Hi, I'm new. Using for a week now and suffered greatly from drool. I use the F30 masks and RESMED aircurve with the heated hose. I was diagnosed with 54.7 events per hour and central apnea. I found this place and learned about people suffering from the same problem. Wanted to say thanks for the advice, and couldn't think of a better introduction than to tell the world that... I wear pantyliners on my face. LOL.

Welcome! I like your style! That's a novel idea, too.

I have had issues with drool, but thankfully, so far not with the F30. Pad a Cheek makes a cloth liner for it, which is very nice and stays in place. I think you might have to email them if it's not yet on their site.

You'll find this is controversial, but I lightly tape my mouth closed with a small section of paper tape. That might be why I don't drool now... If I don't tape, my mouth becomes dry as leather despite the humidifier.
