Will these baby wipes work to clean my mask?

Post by zoomzoom » Thu Apr 11, 2019 2:00 am

I'm currently using these "official" CPAP wipes https://www.cpap.com/productpage/beaumo ... es_cleaner but they do get pricey.

However, I also have these specific baby wipes already: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H5 ... =UTF8&th=1. These are the "sensitive" variety.

Can I just use the baby wipes I have instead of buying the "CPAP wipes" like I did earlier? Also, would using the wipes mean I wouldn't have to use soap water as often (or ever, really) on the cushions?

Heck yea..... the baby wipes will work great. Plus they are cheaper. I wipe my cushion down every morning. Then, I give the cushion a good scrub every 2 or 3 weeks. But know that peoples "cleanliness preferences" are personal. Some folks here scrub their masks with soap and water every day. To me that's overkill.... but that's my preference. So.... get ready for a boatload of opinions.

Baby wipes! I only wash if the oil I put in my beard starts to give me troubles with leaks or about every other week-ish, sometimes, if I think about it. I think the wipes are a handy way to clean my mask as soon as I take it off while I am thinking about it! I guess I am not a big clean freak when it comes to my mask, but the baby wipes usually take care of any drool or whatever gets in my mask. :D
BTW, In June I will have been using baby wipes for 2 years and have never had any issues with getting sick or anything else from cleaning my mask this way. But that's me, and will think your just fine with boiling and scrubbing every day if that makes you happy.

I use CVS brand for $3. There is no need to use expensive wipes. Just use any alcohol free wipes.

I use Costco's - Kirkland Signature Baby Wipes

$22 for 900, this is the online price, in-store might even be cheaper.
