as it turns out, once I used the SD card for CPAP use, it can no longer be used for anything else. It will not "read" in a Windows environment (my tech guru husband can explain it better). We were unable to reformat it, so perhaps it will overwrite old data once it gets full. I should find out soon since it's almost full. I decided to fiddle with my clinical settings & deleted my device from My Air (Resmed). I got an email today that stated that my doctor deleted my device from My Air access. (no he didn't I did!) and that I should register my new device. Well, I re-registered my current device & I am back in business. Of course, I had to unhook everything so that I could find the serial numbers required from the bottom of my machine, but that's no big deal since it's supposed to be taken apart to move or travel. I won't try to reformat or reset my data again... let the old stuff stay there & it should eventually fall off on its own either by default or design. I am not sure how much data Resmed keeps on My Air. I don't know how these things work. I guess I should not mess with something I don't know about! when I logged back into My Air, I had all my old data up to last night. It did not record data from last night but should start again tonight. I haven't checked if I goofed up my data in Oscar. I should take a peek.

And Oscar also does not have last night's data. I hope I haven't broken everything entirely. There are some clinical settings that should NOT be touched!

Nothing you do in Oscar, or to the SD card, will affect the clinical settings in the machine.

This is completely and utterly wrong.

The Resmed's use a completely standard format on their SD cards, Windows (and any other operating system) can read them, because it's a standard format.

If you can't read the sd card in your windows computer, then there's SOMETHING ELSE WRONG.

Tell that to your tech guru husband, and have him look further. (this is seven years of experience talking, and using those sd cards in cpaps).

The clinical settings, and the data are separate things, and do no effect one another.

I am a new CPAP masak user. I don't know in details about the CPAP machine function. But I will check this app.

Ever since I switched to Oscar all of my Hypopnia events show as 10 seconds...whether there are 2 or 10...Every day they are all 10 seconds. Centrals and Obstructive look normal.
It turns out the ResMed cpap machines do not report the duration of a Hypopnea. So SH and earlier versions of Oscar arbitrarily assigned a duration of 10 seconds to every hypopnea, since a hypopnea by definition was at least 10 seconds long. The latest test version does not do assign a value that is sure to be wrong, so no time will be shown for a Hypnopnea on the Events tab of the daily page in the next release.
The Sleepyhead version I was using up until I switched to Oscar always showed the actual number of seconds for each hypopnia. I was using a ResMed S9 at the time...Obviously the Oscar TIA figure is erroneous.

I asked about the "10 seconds for every hypo" in my therapy thread a while back. PR said his S9 reported actual time for each one as well. I looked in Rescan - no times for hypopneas there either.

within the clinical settings of the cpap machine, there is an option to delete data.

No, that's not part of the clinical *settings*... it's not even in the clinical (therapy) menu. It's in configuration (language, date, time, units, restore defaults (now THAT one would change your clinical settings) erasing data would not change clinical settings.

geez... maybe I am not explaining things correctly, but I did delete my machine and erase prior stats from My Air. Started in the clinical settings MODE and navigated the menu from there. I don't know what the particular selection is called. I suppose I could go back in & tell you, but I really don't care anymore and apparently everyone else doesn't care either. No, it did not change my prescription or mask settings, just took me off of My Air & all prior data. I had to add my machine back to My Air & now My Air thinks I'm a newbie. That is all. Sorry I started this.
