Feeling worse on apap

Post by Rookieapap » Mon Mar 18, 2019 2:36 pm

Hi everybody

im new to this so I just want to apologize in advance if I'm not doing something correctly. I used to have Phillip's remstar cflex with a 11.5 as the fixed set pressure and it was great and I felt better. Recently I was switched over to dreamstation apap and the turn out was upsetting. Now I wake up with the old headaches and I find myself waking up tossing and turning alot and i feel very groggy in the mornings and more importantly I feel like I cant focus anymore. Really the only good thing about my new machine is that it comes with a 6ft tube my other one was 18 inches which was very uncomfortable at times.

So i went online and did some research and found that having yapap range from 0 - 20 (im not sure why it was set up that way) could be the reason for tossing and turning so I narrowed it down to 11-12 but I still dont feel as fresh as I did before. And also when I use my ramp option it starts at 4 and i feel like I cant breath but on my older machine the ramp option also started at 4 but the pressure felt much stronger and breathable. Thanks for hearing me out I would appreciate any help/advice!!!

Be careful about PMs from Julie. Generally, advice is posted publicly so that more knowledgeable users can review it.
