Battery Pack for Fisher & Paykel model 234

Post by billyh » Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:36 pm

I will be vacationing in a place where the power is shut down from midnight to 6 a.m. so I will need a rechargeable DC battery and AC inverter. The F&P does not have a DC input. I'm looking for recommendations and advice.

The CPAP.com Battery Pack looks good - is it compatible with the F&P 234?

Thanks

The F&P HC234 does not operate from DC; you will need a battery, a minimum 300 watt inverter to convert the DC from the battery to AC, and a battery charger to charge the battery while the power IS on. The lucky thing about F&P CPAPS is that they can be operated from a common modified sine wave inverter. If you will have a vehicle near where you will be sleeping, you may be able to use an inverter that uses the vehicle battery.
