Remembering dreams

Does remembering any dreams, however 'peaceful' vs violent or vivid pretesting ones, mean you are not getting optimal therapy on Cpap?

Maybe...maybe not.

Remembering dreams just means you woke up long enough to formulate a memory of any dream you might have been having when you woke up.

Lots of things cause wake ups....some related to sub optimal therapy and some related to the other stuff in life that just causes wake ups. So it depends on what caused the wake up and was the wake up just a part of the normal sleep cycle (like it's normal to wake up after a REM cycle is completed) or caused by external factors or some sort of SDB issue.
Plus dreams aren't limited to just REM...they can happen in any sleep stage but of course REM is where we seem to have the greatest amount of dreaming.

I don't think so. I've been remembering dreams more since starting CPAP as my AHI improved.

The brain doesn't form memories while asleep. So the only way you remember a dream is for you to wake up either during or just after.

If you're remembering having a bunch of dreams, then your sleep is fragmented. If you remember just one, from when your alarm went off... that just means you got waked up.

Last night I dreamed that I poured red wine in the humidifier reservoir. and then I wondered how I was gonna get that thing clean

No it doesn't mean that your therapy is optimal if you are having dreams. Looking at the data from your machine, adjusting as necessary and considering how you feel is the way to optimize.

Before xpap I didn't dream or remember any of them, maybe once a month. Pretty sure I wasn't getting much REM. I was in the deep brain fog at that time. Had one foot in the grave. With the xpap dialed in I dream on a regular basis now and feeling a lot better.

Next time, use a premium whiskey--just a splash.
Inhaling alcohol is a very quick "kick".

That me constant deep fog, haven't worked in a year.. Just started cpap 3 weeks. But I've been battling with feeling worse since I start cpap, fog headaches etc... The last week putting up AHI under 1. Doctor says keep trying
