Speaking systematically from a fundamental point of view I'm forced to conclude that your fundamental facilities are insufficiently sophisticated to combasticate with your espoused personal philosophy. Therefore according to my extensive calculations you're bound to come up with some humorous anecdotes and clangers from time to time!!

Okay, I've been on the Bret's Pur-Sleep system for just over three weeks now. In looking at my sleep journal, I can tell you I'm sleeping almost 50% more a night (Avg 8 hours now) with the system as apposed to without. I'm waking less. Dreaming more. My AHI numbers are dropping...............and even had a straight 6 days at 0.9 or under. All in all I'd say my sleep time under the mask is a whole lot more pleasant than before. In fact, it's the only pleasant thing about this therapy. I'm trying all the essential oil's and find I like some more than others...........some a whole lot more and some a whole lot less. But this has been a very pleasant "ride". I highly recommend the system for people to try.

I showed the diffuser and oil to my sleep doc, who's involved in a Sleep Apnea Research clinic, and he was quite interested and will be discussing it with his colleagues, but he expressed no concern and said as far as he was concerned he had no problem with me using it.

Peter, tell your doctor I'd be happy to provide samples. There's also a rather detailed White Paper about the role of olfaction in xpap therapy and the use of aromatics to increase compliance that I'd love to get him. It outlines the latest research in olfaction. Focus Journal here in the US (it's a large medical journal for respriatory care and sleep medicine) has expressed interest in publishing it.

Here's a link:

For some time now I have been putting a drop of favorite perfume on a bit of tissue and enclosing it the small plastic bag that I keep over the Breeze plenum during the day.

Nice aroma for a few days before replacement. Very inexpensive...one spray of perfume, one tissue, one sandwich bag.
Re-spray as needed.

Cheap old granny.

So . . . turns out that I will be attending a large trade show sponsored by Focus Journal for Respiratory Care and Sleep Medicine in Nashville, TN starting on April 19th.

It's at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, which I take to be quite an amazing place in itself.

My wife is coming with our baby daughter (who will be 3 months then) and she's thinking that sitting around the hotel for three days with a baby may not be all that interesting.

And it's our Anniversary weekend, too.

Jeff or anyone else, I'd appreciate suggestions. Or better yet, come and see me.

Well, you will just happen to be in the Country Music Capitol of the World. There are probably several shows going on at the Opryland Hotel. Also, if you are really into it, The Station Inn hosts new and upcoming talent about eery night. There is the Gibson manufacturing plant right there near where you are staying. They have tours. Interesting if you pick guitar, banjo, or mandolin.

If that's not your bag, 175 miles to the East in Pigeon Forge is Dollywood.

Good luck. and BTW, I use your product.

Now that's a particularly good idea! While I have NO musical talent I do plink around a bit on the electric guitar and the Gibson Les Paul (in cherry red) has been my dream guitar since I was 12. Are they open on Saturdays for tours?

Wow, did anybody else notice how a bunch of messages went missing? I was looking for an answer to the patchouli question....

You're looking for it on the wrong thread Sherri. Here is the one where you mentioned the patchouli.

Don't quote me on it, but I think so.

You'll love the Opryland Hotel, it is quite the show place! How long is the trade show? Does it run through the week-end? I work M-F and can't get away, but it is possible for me to show up on Saturday late morning or early afternoon! Let me know if that would be good for you and we could arrange a time and place to meet!

We could open our bottles of Pur-Sleep essential oils and attract a crowd. But be advised, once I put on my mask with the oils, I will fall asleep on you!

Let me know Bret and I will try to come and see you!

Jeff in TN
