Can’t stop mask leaks

Post by Filigree3 » Mon Mar 11, 2019 7:53 pm

I have only been on APAP for a week. I have an Ascend full face mask with gel cushions. It is comfortable, but I always end up having massive leaks during the night. Eventually, usually after the required compliance hours, I take off the mask and go back to sleep. I keep tightening the mask, but it keeps leaking. And sleeping on my side has not worked out, even with a CPAP pillow. Any tips on keeping the mask on?

try going to youtube and searching for mask fitting videos, including the name of your mask.

i've read here time and again that you aren't supposed to tighten your mask TOO tight, but have no idea how one accomplishes this. fortunately, i finally settled on a p10 nose pillow mask. problem solved. for me, anyway.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Jankitz gave me these pointers for fitting a mask. It helped a bit.
