It took me a year to find a setup that worked, and as a result I am nearly 100% complaint.
I have twice as much energy in my early 50s than I had in my 40s, annual physicals are great, and life is overall much better. This has been the case since late 2008, so it's been more than a decade. Now, a decision by a faceless corporation has thrown a wrench into everything. To back up and lay out the whole picture: after struggling in the beginning with major discomfort (masks would either leak when loose enough to be comfortable and conversely be unbearable to wear when tight enough not to leak, or in the case of nasal pillows, the "cold" sensation on the nostrils was unworkable) I settled on an "off the menu" combo: ResMed's Mirage Activa LT headgear (medium) with a Mirage Activa STANDARD size mask. This worked for 8 years and now ResMed has discontinued the product (at least the Standard version of the Activa cushion). I have tried the Airfit and the Respironics Dream Wear which while lightweight and higher tech, are brutally uncomfortable and remind me of the old days when I struggled with the therapy. Any words of wisdom, a recommendation of an old-school nasal mask that would be comparable to what I had grown used to, or any other thoughts otherwise would be welcome.

Have you tried like Craigslist, offer up or let it go for the one you can no longer get that you do like

I ran into the 'discontinued' thing too (diff. masks, etc) but called around to other dealers and found some who had what I wanted still stocked, so bought what I could that way... have you tried others?

Yes, thank you. I should have mentioned I bought a few of the discontinued cushions online, but they tend to be a little “yellowish” in color. Not used but not great condition. Would rather find something new yet similar. Appreciate the fast responses!

You might try boiling them in distilled water with a little baking soda.
