I Started on a Bipap 1/11/2019. At the sleep study (Nov..2018) I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. A the Titration study (Dec, 2018)some Central apneas showed up that weren't seen at first study. Tech said it could be due to the CPAP/BIPAP. The Tech was unable to get a good setting on CPAP or BIPAP, saying I didn't have enough sleep time. So the doctor prescribed a BIPAP with a setting of 9 (exhale) 11 (inhale). Tomorrow is my 6 week follow up appointment. So I have been doing a lot of reading here to get as much knowledge as I can before the appt. I have only viewed my data that is provided by the DreamMapper app. I will try the SleepyHead app after my appt. and knowing what the doctor has to say about my numbers.
My biggest concern is the number of Clear Airway Apneas I am having. The Centrals range all over the place. I tend to have more when I'm having a bad night - can't go to sleep right away, wake up and can't go back to sleep, having to adjust the mask a lot, and just getting frustrated or agitated. I have noticed I do tend to hold my breath somewhat during this time. So I'm wondering if I'm having true centrals.
Thanks for any input!

I have noticed that the OSA is higher if I sleep on my back. So I try to sleep on my side through the night, which I am a side sleeper mostly. Also breathe through my mouth at times and really trying to breathe through my nose more, which I am. Still trying to get pillow adjusted so mask doesn't leave such an imprint on my face. Definitely a trial and error with this whole BIPAP therapy but I will get there
