Increase the min. pressure (the one that counts) by 2-3 cms for a few nites to see how things go, and you can raise the max to 15 or 20... but you need to evaluate if the min. is too high for your aerophagia and if the tricks to help it have done so. I still think if more people just took 1/2 a Tums at night intead of e.g. Prilosec etc, they might be better off... sometimes simple works best.

Aerophagia can settle down as you body gets use to cpap. It did for me. I was very gassy when I started.
I would work on positional apnea in the meantime. think of getting your head back, as in mouth to moth resuscitation. this opens your throat and may help the time from 5:00 onwards. some can achieve this with a pillow that will tilt your head back, some need harder mattress. some need to use a foam cervical collar for about $10.

The collar will diagnose if this is a positional apnea, tucking your chin to chest, when probably back sleeping. So even if it's not used long term, it's worth getting.

I only got couple hrs data last night. only 1.2 events AHI.

I have no memory of when or why I woke up and took my mask off.

ajack, yes I am having hard time sleeping on side. Both SleepTechs I had when attending study then titration said I sleep best on left side. But mask tends to leak sometimes on side and I try to hang it off pillow.
I will explore pillow and such as suggested.

I will try again tonight...

QUESTIONS:
Anyone similar situation with both conditions?
What are side effects of starting Apnea machine?
J3D asked the above question. I have had GERD for more years than I can remember and have been successfully controlling it with the generic of Nexium. Of course, I will have to pay for whatever damages having no stomach acid does to the rest of my body, but it is a decision whether you are able to have any quality of life - with the medication, or misery without. And, I have sleep apnea, but I can't say there is any problems between the two. I do have chronic dry mouth, especially at night, from all the medications I take, but it is just something that's there. I take a small Bubba bottle to bed with me and put it on the shelf behind my bed, so if I wake up and feel the need, I can take a couple of swigs of it. (I fill the bottle halfway with water and put five ice cubes in it to take me through the night).
