Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
I have decided to return the Bleep. It was comfortable (no headgear!!!) and I got used to the "weight" of the pulling sensation on your nose (hose).
I couldn't get over the noise, even with the makeshift diffuser/filter trick.
I messaged Bleep and they said they're considering adding one on and are looking into it, and that's when I may return to try out the new model.
My leaks (or lack thereof) looked great w/Bleep! Much better than the Brevida.

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
The other thing that I felt with the Bleep was that I could feel the air pressure (8) versus in the Brevida where it's much more difficult to "feel."
Another thing I've noticed that when you start to first put on the mask, you have an increased heart rate? I can feel my heart sometimes, more with Bleep than the Brevida, but I can't feel it without the mask.
I wonder if it's because I feel like I am actively breathing in the beginning when I put on the CPAP rather than not focusing on breathing as one would normally (or after you fall asleep w/mask)

If you're still hearing noise with the diffuser, then something else is wrong. I really hate any hissing noises, and with the filter diffuser I came up with, there aren't any.

I don’t hear anything either using the same diffuser that Palerider came up with. I was also able to lower my pressure by two and keep my AHI under 1. There isn’t any sound. Did you call and talk with anyone zoomzoom?

Zoomzoom - please follow up on this - the bleep should be silent as in ***silent****
If there is still noise, any noise, then there is an issue that can be fixed.
My bleep is SILENT at 20 cms of pressure

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
If you are still hearing noise with the diffuser then something is wrong somewhere with the connections because this mask is silent.
I had it up to 25 cm....and it's silent unless the venting is bouncing off my arm or bed covers and that's easily fixed with the diffuser trick.
If you want to give it another go and maybe get some one on one help to try to figure out where the noise is coming from...let me know and I will get you in touch with Stuart or maybe I could try to help.

There is only one customer review at cpap.com --->
I tried to love the Bleep, but, with some regrets, I had to return it. The things I loved: increased air to my nasal passages and freedom from headgear. The things I didn't love: the sensation of pulling on my nose; the inability to quickly remove it; the noise from the vents; and the sticky residue left behind when I took off the adhesive pads. If I had been able to sleep better than with my P10, even with all the disadvantages, I would have kept it, but after five nights of trying, I had to send it back.

cpap.com was indeed late to the game...before they started offering the Bleep compared to some other online sellers.
I need to post a review at cpap.com....but I accidentally deleted the email asking me to do it after my purchase and I have been super busy and just haven't had time to try to figure out how to do the review without the link.
This thread obviously wasn't just for reviews...it was for help to those wanting to try the Bleep or simply had questions about it.
It has become massive and a lot of reading but anything worth having usually involves some work and I would still rather have it all in one area.

No, just literally didn’t get the point.
Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
So I traveled with my Bleep for the first time this weekend and ran into a problem. Maybe some of y'all have a solution.
It was a quick 4-day/3-night trip, so I packed 4 DreamPorts (pre-trimmed) and some of the cut-off extra ends, just in case. I carefully placed them in my travel bag. I have an AirMini but I use an old lunch bag --ugly as sin, I know, but it holds everything (AirMini, plug, hose, mask, even my converter for international travel and still has room to spare!--not the purpose sold case which is larger. When I unpacked, imagine my dismay when I found 3 of the four DreamPort slightly unattached from the backing! Fortunately, they DID stick to my nose all night!
Has anyone found a safe, compact way to carry DreamPorts for travel, other than using the box? As you can see by the picture, the box is over half the size of the case I use for everything, so I would prefer something much smaller, especially for longer trips, 2-4 weeks. I realize that a box in my checked luggage is an option, but having suffered lost luggage in the past (yes, it was recovered), it is not one I want to use for what is really life-sustaining medical equipment.
Thank you!
(P.S. Sorry the picture is enormous, I had to compress it to be able to post it and it ended up bigger than my novel-length post!

I haven't traveled yet but I think I would wrap a wash cloth around the ports and put it in a baggy. Wouldn't take up much room that way and be fairly safe. Might even put the baggy in a compartment in my purse all by itself.

A zip lock sandwich or snack bag? Perhaps a freezer bag?
Just a couple of guesses.

What do you think about a pill case? After you cut them down it would probably work well to turn the sideways into each other the way they come in the box. Plus you’d know exactly how many nights you’re carrying.

Cut them into individual trimmed ports, and drop them in a ziplock bag or similar they do need to be kept flattish otherwise they will roll off the backing

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
Having been stuck bleepless after a flight cancellation, and realizing I had nothing to use for a night, I am thinking I might not travel with bleeps. I am considering throwing a cicadience mask in my PAP bag.
