Bed Recommendations

Wow! Thank you all so very much! Some of you are really innovative! The innovation is out at this house tho. And so are the frames. I've already selected and purchased the Queen size frame that I want. I know you can't sleep on looks but I LOVE the looks of this bed frame! I LIKE having furniture and a room that pleases my eye. So .... I've got a lot of "mattress digesting" to consider thanks to all of you!!!! I so appreciate it.

I will just agree with all the good things said about the Select Comfort with pillow top. I have had three back surgeries and this bed really helps. It was worth every dime!

I'm with offerrocker,we have a heated waterbed, and since my spinal surgery I've been doing alot of research, I have read about several problems some people are having with the select number bed and moisture. So I too am converting my water bed with a good air mattress. Good Luck whatever you choose.

Thank you so much to all of you who have taken the time to respond! I haven't felt up to "mattress shopping" the last few days but have to get on the stick and do that this week as I am running out of time and either my granddaughter or my hubby and I are gonna be sleeping on the floor!!!!

Offerocker - try a heated mattress pad with the setup that you've got right now... it might just heat it enough to make it the setup that you want.

We have a Tempurpedic now and despite the claims of some folks that it is hot, we haven't experienced that.

Da Boss would claim she was hot laying on a bed of ice and she hasn't ever said anything about being hot on our Tempurpedic. She's always claiming the temp in the house is hot ... even though the thermostat is automatic and the air would come on if it got above 75.

I didn't tell her some people claimed it was too hot so I suspect it may be one of those power of suggestion things.

She didn't know it was supposed to be hot so she doesn't think it is hot. If someone told her Tempurpedics were hot to sleep on she would be claiming it was hot

We had a fairly expensive pillow top before the Tempurpedic and I woke up with back pain every morning and it was a firm mattress. The Tempurpedic is far and away much better. Except for the price.
